JL Tree Service had a recent Ethics Safety Meeting. All company’s should have occasional business ethics meetings. This is the one area that is pretty much uniform across all industries. Employees of any company should always make business ethics at the top of their value system. Conforming to good ethics within a business or personally will always leads to a good reputation and success.

On January 27, 2012, JL Tree Service Inc’s Certified Tree Care Professional Sean Lewett held an ethics meeting for all staff members. Sean felt that it was such a strong safety meeting with much attention, it is worthy to publish his self created ethics chart!

Follow this chart. If you instill the values on the left side of this chart into your organization, you are likely to build a good reputation. On the contrary, if a company has bad values or principles within its organization, then it is likely to be on the path of building a poor reputation.

Reputation and relationships are two very important aspects for a successful business. Print my new Ethics chart above. Hold an all hands meeting with all staff members and go over each principle leading to reputation. This is a great practice to ensure quality within your company.

Hector and his crew came promptly yesterday, after calling and saying what time they could be at my home. I want to compliment them on the work done. They took down the two trees and removed all the wood and the brush so that you couldn’t tell the trees had been there — except for the stump on my deck from the one that was there. They did an amazing job of removing the tree on the deck without damage to the deck or my roof. They were courteous and professional. Please pass the word along that I am very pleased with the work that was done. And thank your estimator, Stephen, for making it easier to choose JL Tree Service!

JL Tree Service Inc is TCIA Accredited!!!!!

JL Tree Service Inc has gained Tree Care Industry Accreditation. This is a huge milestone for the company, as it now belongs to a select few tree care companies that qualify among the industry top professionals. This credential is not an easy one to obtain. It shows customers, that the tree company has exceptional safety, and internal processes to make it an industry leader.

Many of the employees are JL Tree Service Inc participated the goal to become Accredited. According to Sean Lewett who led the task, “It was an extremely thorough and time consuming process, yet a rewarding one as our company is now taking a pro-active stance on safety and internal business processes to be compliant with OSHA and Tree Care Industry standards”.

This is a great milestone for JL Tree Service Inc, in business since 1975.

John & Steve,

Wilmey and the other two guys did a lot of hard work at my house, even with temperatures ranging from 18-30 degrees. We fortified them with coffee, donuts, and fruit to keep their spirits up.

The crew did an outstanding job. Communication skills were great and they were very eager to make sure that we were pleased. Wilmey even noticed that my check was written for too much!

Everyone at JL Tree Service Inc, from the tree crew to Steve’s estimate, to John’s scheduling, to the ladies in the office has been first rate.

Video of new Stump Shear in Action!

See our new stump shear in action in the JL Tree Service Inc yard in Fairfax, VA. The stump shear is an attachment to the excavator, and busts logs so they can feed into the horizontal grinder, further reduced into mulch.

The stump shear is hydrolic, and made completely of steel to shear stumps and logs. Talk about tough!

Hello,

I wanted to say that Hector and crew #10 did a great job taking down the 75-foot poplar tree that was located in my front yard. I was home for two days and was able to observe the entire process.

The tree was badly damaged from a lightning strike. It was located just feet from the front door and surrounded by landscaping, including a sidewalk railing. The crew overcame these obstacles without causing collateral damage, working even through the rain. I truly appreciate their hard work and professionalism.
